The “Mission Accomplished” Fiasco: Saddam was Dead, but Killing Him was Illegal, Scholars Maintain

Madison, WI (PRWEB) August 8, 2007

James Fetzer, founder of Scholars for 9 / 11 Truth, has announced its conclusion that “Mission Accomplished” had to be modified to hide that, while Saddam Hussein was killed, it was an illegal act and should therefore be deleted. An evaluation of available data suggests that the celebration aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln on 1 May 2003, was intended to announce the assassination when he was late to have been made in violation of a series of presidential decrees. While taking on Saddam Hussein and liberate Iraq have often been cited as the official mission of the U.S. military after the alleged existence of weapons of mass destruction has been exposed as fraudulent, it now appears that the capture, trial and death of “Saddam” was still a fraud, a hoax perpetrated by substitution of one of his double for the deceased.

According to Fetzer, the evidence of the use of a Saddam double is abundant and convincing. As long ago as July 3, 2004, the Australian journalist, Joe Vialls, reported that the captured “Saddam” was not the real Saddam, based on differences in their teeth and jaw. Saddam had excellent teeth and overbite, while “Saddam” had bad teeth and prognathism, he claims supported by photographs. (See, for example, “Scam Shaddam Shaddam the New Vaudeville!”), It was reported that Saddam’s wife, Sajida Heiralla Tuffah, had reluctantly been granted access to the prisoner, Qatar has emerged but ask: “Where is my husband?”

“This is the wife of Saddam Hussein denied that it was her husband bothered me enough to take a look at the evidence myself,” says Fetzer. It is official photos of the U.S. military to use as a basis for comparison, which accredits the claims advanced by Vialls and published an article, “When is Saddam not Saddam?” (July 15, 2004), providing corroborating evidence. “Although I was sure it was a double, I was not sure why the substitution was made. This is not something that would become apparent that I had the opportunity to speak with Yvonne Wachter, April 11, 2007, as my guest on “The Dynamic Duo,” a radio program I co-host with Kevin Barrett. ”

Yvonne Wachter, the mother of B-1 bomber pilot, Captain Chris Wachter, had a deeply disturbing story to tell. According to her, our intelligence agencies were able to identify the location of Saddam and his son, Uday and Qusay, the Al-Sa’ah restaurant in Mansour district of Baghdad. This was possible because all three of them were using British-made phones Racal Jaguar cells that had Saddam Hussein in order to ensure the confidentiality of its communications. But it also meant there were experts who were well placed to intercept these calls. (For a transcript and other links, go to “New Studies” at

According to Yvonne, his son was flying his B-1 bomber near Baghdad and received urgent orders to return to the city. “It’s great,” he was told. General Tommy Franks, who has been monitoring these cell phone calls from CENTCOM, ordered him to “triple check” contact information and not to be missed. “Two minutes,” she said, “Captain Wachter confirmed by CENTCOM (under the command of General Franks and General T. Michael Moseley) that the target was still in place and they were ready to drop and we he said, ‘Do not miss. “The bombs were dropped and immediately after the bombs hit the ground, cell phone conversations abruptly ended and telephones were cut off.” Munitions were four Joint Direct Attack Munition bombs (JDAM).

When they returned to their base, she said, the crew was greeted by cheers. “During the night, after they had gone to bed, my son was awakened by his commanding officer and summoned quickly to a telecommunications asset with the Pentagon,” Yvonne said. “The Pentagon has ordered my son and his teammates to do a live interview from feed-in theater because, as his commander told him, ‘You were. You Saddam Hussein and his two boys. “Captain Wachter was interviewed on CNN and his name, the name of Bombardier and the name of its commander were broadcast around the world. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and even Vice- President Cheney would later confirm the death of Saddam.

April 13, 2003, Yvonne said, United Press International reported, “Last Wednesday we went on a branch in the analysis of the UPI and found evidence that Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was dead, his foul physical body obliterated last Monday by the four £ 2,000 bunker-busting bombs unloaded on him courtesy of the U.S. Air Force. The “wicked witch” is indeed dead. “Al-Jazerra on the same day an article headlined” Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was killed on the night of 7 to 8 after a bombing raid on the Al-Mansour district of Baghdad. ”

As many commentators have observed, the “Mission Accomplished” event on the USS Abraham Lincoln on 1 May 2003, had a surreal quality about it. The president flew aboard a fighter on the deck, with uniform military pilot, and boasted that “major combat operations” had ended, just weeks after our intervention. Despite the news, nothing was said about having left Saddam. A week later, the Baltimore Sun, “Cheney says he believes Hussein is dead” (May 8, 2003), Vice President Cheney was quoted, “I think we got Saddam Hussein. It was seen being dug in the rubble and was not able to breathe. “

May 25, 2003, Capt. Wachter spoke with Dr. Rober Schuller Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA, and reiterated that his commander had said. “Seriously, you have Saddam Hussein and his two son” The next day Yvonne said, he received an urgent order to fly overnight to Langley to meet with leaders of the Air Force during a secret meeting. When he returned, he told his mother, “I was told everyone owes me and my team a debt of gratitude, but the rest of what I was told must remain classified. However, it looks like Saddam ran away. “It was shattered, bewildered, and clearly acute distress. Motivated Yvonne to understand exactly why.

“As she explained during our interview,” Fetzer said, “it was noted that the Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld had not spoken about the death of Saddam, which she found very strange . Continuing the thought that maybe he knew something the others do not know, she discovered that he had been Secretary of Defense in the administration of Gerald Ford during the Church Committee investigations abuses by the CIA, which led to the signing Executive Order 11905 of President prohibiting the assassination of foreign leaders of sovereign nations. Saddam fell exactly into that category. “

Indeed, Section 5G of that directive, “No employee of the U.S. government said they practice or conspire to engage in political assassination.” Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan would reaffirm that directive and make its provisions more more explicit. Donald Rumsfeld, Yvonne observed, was Reagan’s special envoy in Iraq and was photographed shaking hands with Saddam in 1983. “There is no one who knew better Decree on the Prohibition of the murders policies that Mr. Rumsfeld. ” Ironically, another familiar name in Washington’s policy is the use of these decrees bitterly attacked President Bill Clinton.

In a column entitled “Braggadocio” (September 29, 2006), Oliver North, used the existence of these orders, one which he had personally written as a basis for a bite attack on Bill Clinton, who during an interview with Chris Wallace, tried to defend himself against criticism that he had not done enough to get Osama bin Laden. North assailed Clinton for trying to kill bin Laden. “Ordering the assassination of a foreign national is arguably more important than lying about a rendezvous with an intern in the Oval Office,” he said, lamenting the lack of “shock and awe” human rights standard bearers. He made no mention of Bush having actually killed Saddam. Fetzer, himself a former Marine Corps officer, described it as a beautiful display of hypocrisy that brings shame to the uniform North once wore.

the sequence of key events that led to the imposition of a gag order on Capt. Wachter, most Americans tend to regard as a national hero:

March 19, 2003: United States begins its attack on Iraq

April 7, 2003: JDAM bombs to kill Saddam and his son

April 13, 2003: UPI confirmed that Saddam was killed

April 13, 2003: Al-Jazerra confirms that Saddam is dead

May 1, 2004: “Mission Accomplished” celebration at the sea

May 7, 2003: Vice President Cheney said that Saddam is dead

May 25, 2003: Captain Wachter speaks at Crystal Cathedral

May 27, 2003: secret meeting in Langley to cover

To cover administrative blunder, Fetzer said, it was necessary to bring Saddam back from the dead by the use of one of his doubles. “Personally, I always doubted that Saddam Hussein, the leader of one of the most ancient nations of the world, hiding in a spider hole,” said Fetzer. “He did not add up. And when Vialls pointed the United States refused to deliver their prisoner over to Iraqi authorities, it became increasingly clear that this would have the second leg. Karl Rove would have been unable to manipulate the American people using Saddam as his pawn were Saddam is no longer life. “

took a dim view of the policy of the USS Lincoln event. In his column, “Happy” Mission Accomplished “anniversary” (May 2, 2007), James Bovard wrote: “Yesterday was the fourth anniversary of one of the propaganda speeches the most corrupt in American history today. “Noting that over 186,000 Iraqis have died since that day, where the actual number could be closer to 600,000, he attacks tortured logic that justified the war and little deception involved in the denial of the administration he was even responsible for the banner itself. But, as anyone who knows the rest of the story must begin to appreciate, regardless of low, Fetzer added, is the most corrupt administration of U.S. history.
