Book by Minuteman Founder and ‘Unfit for Command’ Author to Target Illegal Immigration

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2006

Despite being the former governor of a state border in the throes of an immigration crisis, President George W. Bush has been reluctant to address the issue of illegal immigration, preferring to maintain friendly ties with Mexican President Vicente Fox. That may change later this year, although in the wake of a forthcoming book that promises to make security along the borders of America’s most debated about going into the elections this fall – and Republicans ignore at their own peril.

Jim Gilchrist

, co-founder of the Minuteman Project, and Jerome Corsi, Ph.D. from Harvard and co-author of the bestseller # 1 New York Times Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry? have teamed up to write a shocking account of the uninterrupted flow of drugs, terrorism, economic refugees and the borders of America – and to denounce the complicity opened by the Mexican government in this crisis of its own. The book to be titled, will be published by World Ahead Publishing and available in bookstores in the country this July.

Minuteman Project is a volunteer organization that has gained national notoriety last year to organize a citizen border watch southwest along the nation to report suspicious activity to authorities. As denounced by politicians in the capital – including President Bush -. Overworked Border Patrol agents privately praised the Minuteman Project volunteers for their efforts

Illegal immigration is bankrupt states along the border, but it is more than the economy – we put our national security at risk? Gilchrist said that, with other volunteer Minuteman Project is under fire while patrolling and carrying out nothing more than binoculars and cell phones. Drug lords? And violent gangs like MS-13 are streaming to the United States from Mexico. Terrorists are also walking in unopposed; our southwestern border is littered with newspapers in Arabic and Islamic prayer rugs

? Politicians who believe that illegal immigration can not be ignored must realize that Mexicans and others are dying every day along the borders of our nation? adds Corsi, whose book? Unfit for Command? played a key role in convincing the American people to reject John Kerry’s 2004 presidential bid. ? These economic refugees are often abandoned and left to die by human trafficking and Mexican soldiers who smuggled across the border. It is nothing short of a tragedy.?

While the GOP has made

American security a winning issue in recent elections, a forthcoming book Gilchrist and Corsi promises to reframe border control in just these terms, as a matter of national security, and he that President Bush and the Republican leadership can no longer avoid.
